Fire

Fire

On Thursday with Mrs Allen we made fires and made damper. We also did a small study project on Fire safety. Everybody had to make one. I found this task fun and put small LED lights in the cellophane so It can light up. Here is my project.

Holiday Writing

Nose Like… A light green leaf covered in large and small yellow and black warts .

Eyes like... A dragons with bright yellow scleras and deep black pupils.

Ears.. like endless holes carving into the sides of a small  triangular head.

Feels like… A slippery green bar of soap slithering out of my loose grasp.

Sounds like a small bark somewhere down below beneath the reads in the dark water.

My digital learning object shows I can Use slides to animate.

Next time I would change The detail of my animation And the scoring of the try because its a bit hard to see.

Mascot Madness

Today we were making a new mascot for one of the Would rugby teams. Me and Hohepa had Ireland.
I enjoyed making shapes with poly line, it was fiddly but fun.
I found it challenging to  get all shapes right so it would look detailed.
My digital learning object shows that I can use polyline.
Next time I would change pet deer.

On Tuesday we went to the Longfin Eels at the Hustlers.
We saw about 4 big eels and lured them in with meat.
After we came back we wrote poems about the eels. I wrote a Haiku.
Dark murky water,

Fresh meat bobbing like a leaf,
Devouring the bait!

My digital learning object shows That I know how to use  Remove Background and how to make my own image.
Next time I would change The position I was squatting to make it look like I was pulling the eel up.

Matariki Madness

Today I was learning about animations on Brush Ninja and how to make them.
I enjoyed seeing the animations when they were finished they were really cool.
I found it challenging to Get the black background because the black came up as gray so I had to do lots of gray squares to make one dark black square.
My digital learning object shows that the time limit of 15 minutes made it hard to get the animation done properly.
Next time I would put on more detail to make my animation more interesting. This post shows I am a Stepping Up blogger. Have you ever made your own animation before?

My Dream Vehicle

Our task was to be imaginative and write about your dream house, vehicle, job, superpower and so on. I picked a vehicle and this is what I wrote
Enjoy!

My Dream Vehicle

My dream vehicle would be a massive hast eagle. It would be shiny metal with hundreds of different layers. Deep blue eyes with red edges. It would have 35-foot wings to thrust it forward. Talons like knives hanging off large muscular legs. A beak with a deathly curve like the sharpest pickaxe. Inside its head, there would be a small high tech cockpit for me to sit in.

When I'm flying over water. It would transform into a large grey megalodon with teeth like sharpened spears. It would have a powerful tail making it travel at marvelous speeds( like 275 km, that's quick). It would run on a turbine on the front of the tail that when going through water would spin and create its own energy.

The hast eagle would also run on turbines that again when flying would spin because of the force of the wind and create energy. The hast eagle could fly at a speed of 350 km and when it dives it could reach the speed of 700 km. The hast eagle would have individual metal feathers. The megalodon would have a sensor 1000 times better than a normal shark.
That's my dream vehicle.

Respect

Respect means to be kind to one another and treat other people the way you want to be treated.  If you are not kind to other people they will not be kind back to you. Even if they make you very angry just walk away don't be mean back. Respect also means that if somebody is in need e.g hurt Go and help them because that is the time they really need it.

Respect is also associated at school like not talking back to teachers and Using your manners. at school, you need to respect other people and their property. At school, there are a lot of people around you and all the small kind things you do to be nice to help the other people and they will start being nice back to you.

Do not litter When in the bush. The wildlife in New Zealand very unique like the tuatara the only living dinosaur. But if we do not respect nature and litter, these amazing animals will become extinct. Scientists are already finding plastic everywhere even the bottom of the ocean and 1 third of seabirds will have a piece of plastic in their stomach and they will die. And we can not have this happen to our native animals. So always respect nature.

Respect can be very simple like opening a door for someone or helping them carry something heavy. So always respect and soon the kindness will come trailing back to you!
